Here at MK Nannies, the goal is to provide the best possible service to both, the nannies and the families equally, because we all know it takes that perfect fit to achieve the best possible outcome. MK Nannies strives to provide childcare that we would trust with our own loved ones. MK Nannies takes pride in understanding the wants and needs of both the families and nannies and it is our passion to fulfill  everything you are looking for.

FOR FAMILIES:

For all Nanny or Sitter placements there is a one-time, non-refundable $50 application fee which is due at the time of signing contract.

The family is required to pay all sitters a minimum rate of 4 hours.

An additional fee will be applied for Families who inquire about or cancel a Nanny or Sitter placement with less then a 24-hour notice.

ALL agency fees double for holidays.

All nannies will have a background check performed by MK Nannies before each placement. Families can do a more extensive background check, as long as they have the Nanny or Sitter's consent.

Once a Nanny is placed to a family, there will be a two week trial period. If necessary, MK Nannies will be responsible for finding a replacement at no extra charge.

Families are required to pay Nannies or Sitters directly. All benefits such as health insurance, paid holiday and sick days, paid vacation, etc., are to be discussed and negotiated between the Nanny or Sitter and the Family.

All Families must retain all Nanny or Sitter services directly through MK Nannies.

FOR NANNIES:

All Nannies & Sitters must be 18 years of age or older, a U.S. citizen, and be able to provide multiple employment and character references.

All Nannies & Sitters must be certified in infant/child First Aid & CPR. If they are not, they must become certified within 30 days of placement with a Family.

All Nannies & Sitters will have background checks performed MK Nannies.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How long does it take for a Nanny to be placed with a Family?

    Every match situation is different and unique, but on average, we place nannies with families within two to six weeks. Please contact us today for more information.

  • Can Families have two different Nannies working for them at once?

    Yes, a Family can have multiple Nannies for different wants or needs, but a placement fee will be applied for each Nanny. Please contact us today for more information.

  • Do Household Managers 'deal with' or 'help take care of' our children?

    Household Mangers may assist with children such as chauffeuring them to practices, appointments, and such. Household Managers DO NOT act as a Nanny and typically have very little interaction with the children. Please contact us today for more information.

  • Are references required to become a Nanny?

    YES! Multiple references are mandatory when completing your employment application. Please contact us today for more information.

  • Are background checks performed on Nannies?

    Yes, Thorough background checks are performed on ALL Nannies employed with MK Nannies. Please contact us today for more information.

  • Does MK Nannies interview the Families or the Nannies?

    Yes, MK Nannies interviews both parties.  We interview ALL Nannies before employment and ALL Families are interviewed before any Nanny is even considered for placement. Please contact us today for more information.

  • Does MK Nannies require Nannies to be CPR certified?

    MK Nannies requires ALL Nannies and Sitters to be infant/child First Aid & CPR certified. If an applicant is not, then it is required that the Nanny become certified within 30 days of placement. Please contact us today for more information.

  • If a Nanny is not infant/child first-aide CPR certified, where can they become certified?

    There are several places that allow you to take a class and get certified. You could visit The Family Conservancy to find a location or let MK Nannies know and we will assist you in finding the nearest locations. Please contact us today for more information.

  • What is considered Group or Event Childcare?

    Group or Event Childcare would be considered, a situation where multiple sitters are needed at once. Things such as weddings, daycare subs, corporate events, parties, etc. Please contact us today for more information.
